The brain is the main control center of the nervous system for both voluntary and involuntary movement. The cerebrum is the top of your brain where most of your thinking occurs; memory is also stored here. You also have two halves called hemispheres. The left controls the right side and vise versa. The cerebellum is the back bottom of the brain, it controls balance and movement. The medulla connects your brain to your spinal cord. It also controls involuntary movement.
